Why we created Man The F Up
Founder and head coach
In 2016 I gave birth to my daughter. I had gained over 60 pounds during pregnancy. After I gave birth, I barely recognized myself. I hit an all time low in my life. I was a new mom and I was struggling, physically and mentally. I couldn’t stand looking at myself in the mirror. I felt disgusted with the reflection I saw everyday. My marriage ended soon after and I was left as a single mom to raise a child with a disability on my own.
Fitness changed my life. It sounds cliche…I know! But there was a point where my body was in pain trying to pick up my child, or carry groceries inside. There was a point where I felt so depressed and overwhelmed with everything life had thrown at me, that I contemplated ending my life because I didn’t think I was strong enough to get through it.
I started exercising and I noticed a change in how I was feeling. I felt stronger. I felt more confident in my skin. I felt powerful. And as a result, it made me an empowered woman and most importantly, a better mother to my daughter.
